L’exposition de la Galerie d’Art L6 pose la question de l’interaction entre attraction et photographie sur fond d’omniprésence de l’image dans notre société. La photographie devrait-elle se consacrer aux motifs peu attrayants – selon une tradition documentariste qui se tourne vers le non-vu et le non-perçu ? Peu attrayants dans le sens où ces images se refusent à une esthétique courante ? Peu attrayants dans le sens où ces images se voient comme contre-projets au monde des images rapides d’aujourd’hui, et ouvrent sur de nouvelles perspectives sur des attractions et des mondes imagés déjà existants.
The exhibition Attraktion?! questions interaction between attraction and photography against the backdrop of the omnipresence of images in our society. Should photography focus on unattractive subjects– according to a documentarian tradition engaged in the unseen and the unnoticed? Unattractive in the sense that these images refuse the usual aesthetics?
